In Searching for a name for his Japanese Express Delivery, former founder and owner of the Doghouse, Don Emery stumbled upon the Japanese word for Dog... Foku, pronounced (Fah Q). It seemed to much fun to pass up and so Foku's Japanese Express and Delivery was born.
Formerly the Steel Horse Saloon
Although owner Don Emery has had this establishment since 2002, we underwent a name change in the summer of 2009 due to trademarking problems. Donny's Saloon is an ecclectic place where everyone is welcome. The bar itself is open Monday thru Friday from 11 am until 6 am and on Saturday from 11 am until 2 am. Sundays we open whenever GoChurch is thru.... Noonish until 2 am.
Home to Donny's Saloon, Foku's Japanese Express, and GoChurch on Sundays.
The bar itself features a horseshoe bar, over a dozen tvs, NTN trivia, soft tip and steel tip darts, bowling game, and corn hole. The bar is comfortable and laid back and you will find a WIDE variety of people patronizing us. The hidden secret is a huge backyard with a projection screen that is 12 foot tall.
The kitchen is an answer to a need for something other than bar food. We wanted to be cutting edge and we saw an opportunity to capitalize on the take out and delivery market as well. Having 22 years experience in the restaurant industry, I can assure you... You will love the food!!!
Preacher Todd Moody hosts GoChurch on Sunday mornings. A non denominational church searching for imperfect people and looking worship in a different way. Church starts at 1030ish as nothing is formal and breakfast is served free every morning by the parishioners. Definitely a different twist.
